Modular Barovia: Death House
Modular Barovia Part 1 is a modular 3D printed terrain set designed to create playable parts of Barovia, and it can be reused for any 32mm TTRPG campaign. The Kickstarter was successfully funded: 19 backers pledged CA$753 against a CA$300 goal, and the funding period ran from May 4, 2026 to June 18, 2026 (45 days). The set’s centerpiece is the Death House, a terrain set built to support running Curse of Strahd’s Death House, which makes a great one-shot adventure for Halloween and other spooky sessions.

Print Overview
Printing the full house takes about four rolls of filament and about a week of print time. The files are split by floor into bottom, middle, and top parts. Decorative roof parts are included as well.
- Bottom parts: floor tiles that connect with OpenLock clips. They have a 12.5mm floor grid, so every 2 squares is 25mm.
- Middle parts: interior walls and balcony railings that slide into the floor grid. Interior walls can also be used on their own on a dry erase mat, and they include supports for modular doors.
- Top parts: exterior window and chimney parts.
- Rooftop parts: a decorative crown, in hollow and solid versions.
FAQ
- Is it supportless? The core modular terrain parts are. Rooftops print a little cleaner with small tree supports on overhangs. Most props are supportless, but most character and creature minis need supports.
- Can I print it in resin? The minis and props can be printed in resin, but the modular terrain system was designed for FDM only.
- Has it been test printed? Everything in the set has been test printed multiple times.
- Is it OpenLock compatible? The set uses OpenLock clips and is licensed, but it is not built to be compatible with other OpenLock sets.
- Was AI used? No. The modular set, props, and miniatures were all handmade.
- Is it a 1:1 copy of the official Death House? No. It is a fan made haunted house with some creative liberties for the larger floorplan. Some closets were removed and the third and fourth floors were rearranged so every area is playable.
- Minis references: The minis are based on the artwork of Moonberry Maple.
- Updates: Planned updates include texture changes, an interior layout matching the official version, textured interior walls, and window changes. Any updates will be compatible with this version.
