These are kinda fun ones – planned for an upcoming DND session. Part of Curse of Strahd calls for an encounter with 9 x Giant Spiders and while I have a few I wanted some variety and relatively FDM friendly at that. So here we have a couple that I managed to compile. One box headed and one somewhat spiky.
My new method of making the models “chonkier” takes away from sharp edges but for now that’s kind of a feature / not a bug 🙂
These are both sized to fit on a 50mm platform and have to be printed on their back with supports for whatever reason the legs fly apart when printed on the base plate directly. The regular giant spider here has pretty thin legs so at 0.08mm might be best (0.4mm nozzle) – I’ll make another version with chonkier legs.
