Kobolds are lizard-like/dragon-like cave/dungeon dwellers – they are kinda like goblins but tend to be the weak thing that players fight earlier on in their campaign. They’re crafty and evil – they can’t go out during the day but aren’t necessarily nocturnal so they work making and traps everywhere. Kobolds are part of the reason why the DND Adventurer’s guide includes pricing for a 10ft pole – traps everywhere.

One of the first models that I made was of a Kobold NPC so it was exciting to get back to working on these. I’ve added weapons to both of these models shown here – the rogue model had what looked like a knife holster so she got an extra, I like to imagine that she likes knives, a lot, she was missing a toe as well and instead of grafting one or sculpting one I think it just adds more to her lore as a knife obsessed Rogue Kobold that dropped one on her toe – this did not dissuade her obsession. The other is a barbarian / blacksmith – someone has to make all the knives and it makes her very angry!!

So far I have 11 Kobold models made and hope to have one for each player class. Gendering the models, esp for anthropomorphic creatures (and since I still can’t quite sculpt feminine facial features well) isn’t super necessary but as a rule but the tagline _female tends to mean breasts. Writing that out makes it seem silly but that’s the logic I’m running on with these anthropomorphic creatures for now.
