While I was painting the fort it seems that spring melt was sleeping through our foundation and through our flooring. I’ve torn up the carpet and some baseboards but I think I’ll be lucky to get done this this week and it’s very unlikely that insurance will cover this so I’ma put my non 3d printed flooring cap and and get to work.
This means that I won’t be able to finish the interior walls of the fort this week before going on holidays.
Now some people would delay the release of the fort until it was all done to perfection but I think it can be published AS-IS with the walls as an additional part put in in a few weeks time. I really want to adhere to a “done is better than perfect” policy.
Ultimately I think this hurts the viability and sales of the fort but in my mental calculus that was never the point. The point was to deliver on a promise to build and share this with you all. The interior walls and other wall layouts are easily done and added post launch.
Not worth stressing over imo missing some details or the shame of not having hit the target launch date.
