This is a Modular Terrain set built to support Running Curse of Strahd’s Church of Barovia.
Important Notes:
As of posting this I haven’t finished painting the church so I haven’t pay-walled this content (yet) but eventually this will be paid content with the full textured files of the Church of Barovia. Most of these minis and props are ones I’ve made freely available on the major print sites but I’ve compiled them for your convenience on the post here. For now the textured files for the Church are only available to backers on Kickstarter and paid Patrons.

Print Overview
For printing this takes about four rolls of Filament and about a week of print time. The files are split into bottom, middle and top parts split by floor. Decorative roof parts are included as well but are largely decorative parts of the model.
Part Overview
Bottom parts are the floor tiles which connect together via open lock clips – simply remove the supports and then attach the clips. These feature a 12.5mm floor grid, every 2 squares is 25mm
Middle parts are the interior walls, balcony railings an simply slide into the bottom floor grid. Interior walls can also be used on their own on a dry erase mat. The walls include supports for modular doors
Top parts include the exterior window / chimney parts
Rooftop parts are a decorative crown, I’ve included both hollow and solid variants
Disclaimer / FAQs
This is a fan made corrupted church based on the concept and design of the Church of Barovia. It is not a 1:1 recreation of the original design and has had some creative liberties. There isn’t an undercroft on this model BUT that is on my my list to make eventually, for now you could print another bottom layer that will stack with the church and adjust the paint / color scheme.
* Is this set Supportless? *
The core modular terrain parts are supportless. Some parts like rooftops print slightly cleaner with some small thin tree supports added on overhangs. Most of the props are supportless but the most of the character / creature minis require some supports.
* What references did you use for the minis? *
The minis are based off of the artwork of Moonberry Maple. Moonberry is highly talent, wonderful, genius, incredibly brilliantly (did I mention talented?) artist. You can find her on Reddit and Patreon. I’m not the best character artist so my work doesn’t come close to hers but in terms of composition her work is what I used.
Beyond that the props were all made up while drinking coffee. I’ve made 1000++ minis in the last year or so so many of these I had done before and wanted to try something different with this set but many also just come from my imagination.
* Can I print this in resin? *
The minis and props can be printed on a resin printer but the modular terrain system was designed for FDM only.
* Has this been test printed? *
Everything in this set has been test printed multiple times!
* Will there be updates? *
Modular Barovia is just wrapping up and then I do plan to enhance the terrain system. We’ve had a request for texture changes, an interior layout matching the official version, textured interior walls and window changes to match the reference images so these are definitely updates that we want to do – any updates will be compatible with this version.
* Is this set OpenLock Compatible? *
While the set uses OpenLock clips and we are licensed to create OpenLock sets this is not built to be compatible with other OpenLock sets.
* Was AI used to create this set? *
The modular set, props and miniatures were all handmade. It would have probably been faster and easier to use AI tools but it was a personal challenge and creative effort that I wanted to do by hand.
* Can I get this set elsewhere? Are there sample files? *
Originally this set was a part of a successfully funded Modular Barovia Kickstarter. This is the premium textured version of the free / plain model available over here: https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/church-of-barovia-dnd-ttrpg
* Can I get the props and minis from this set elsewhere? *
Many of the miniatures and props are freely available with the exception of some premium and pre-supported versions. You can see our other designs here or checkout https://www.adamnant.com/ for links to other sites that we’re active on.3D printing settings
3D Print Settings
For the modular terrain parts I recommend
0.2mm layer height on a 0.4mm nozzle
Ignore small overhangs
No supports – you can enable them in Orca slicer using slim tree auto supports supporting critical regions only
No brim (unless you have trouble with layer adhesion)
5% or lower infill density
Many of the miniatures have pre-supported files available for resin. For FDM the best practice is to print at 0.08mm (or lower if you have a 0.2mm nozzle), rotate on their backs at -90 degrees and use auto thin tree supports – adjusting rotation as needed to prevent supports appearing on thin spots.
