I did an Owlbear collection earlier in January and this one was on my list but I wasn’t too happy with the thickness of the wires etc… at the time. I’m glad I waited because I think the improvements I’ve made really rolled nicely into this model. I spent a bit more time than usual sculpting the rivets and various panels. I even added a patchwork of panelling on its back mimicking owl feathers seen on other models. Something that was maybe excessive was carving some little runes into the dial around its face. Overall I’m very happy with this one.
Clean-up of supports from the physical mini is a pain but I managed to get most of clear and I think this would be a charming addition to an adventure – maybe someday I’ll modify it to include two little gnomes or kobold pilots inside of it.
