The learning curve with blender runs deep. Just as a I think I’ve got a good process I learn something new and it throws everything I’ve done into question. These models, like many others, have thin capes (“butt cape”). In the quest to make these models more printable I want to make sure they’re manifold, have no intersecting faces/edges and make sure that their parts aren’t too thing to print at 0.08mm. Previously I was doing a bisect and or trying to fill holes with other shapes. In this case I used xray mode to split out the capes, then tried my best to fill them, remesh, vertex paint and then building off that vertex paint. All the other work might not be necessary except for the vertex painting.

Anyways – here are two dwarf fighters 27mm height on a 25mm medium base.
