This had to be a dwarf or a giant – his proportions are a bit wild. This is from a some early renders where they all were carrying a “holy symbol” – I imagine this fellow is coming back from a long battle with a token from his lover only to find their homes destroyed.
The size of this model was a bit problematic and made me think I needed to use bounding box restrictions on the API calls BUT it turns out my dimensions were off – for whatever reason my models use Y for height instead of Z, this lead me down a rabbit hole to redo ALL of the models I’ve made so far. The cape issue is frustrating too – it’s wayyyy tooo thing and would be a pain to cut out and fluff up. It should be doable with resin or very small FDM but otherwise I’d leave this one alone.
In terms of sculpting I did a TON of it on his face – the last screenshot shows the obj export and what I had to work with – not much came out in the shading this time. Hopefully this shows some progress I’ve been making with sculpting. Looking at it more I think all of the features need to be more prominent in order to show up on FDM. Resin should show well. This is the first time I used the multi-plane scrape tool to rough up the beard.
