This is a smaller set – although I have a LOT of owlfolk models many of them are pretty similar to the last two here (owlfolk paladin and wizard). I really liked the artificer and monk models and they really stood out over the rest. There are a few more funky artificers but these two were pretty great.
The artificer was a bit of challenge to fill in the gaps under his cloak – this always a bit of an ordeal to clean up and to keep the mesh geometry sane. Without filling in behind the cloak there would normally be a big void in behind there and it would be a pain to clean out and it makes it likely that the cloak will get wrecked (also more surface area means more vertices wasted on spots that will never be seen – who cares if your owl bro has a tramp stamp if nobody can seee it, right!?)
The monk was fun and had 3 tail feathers, as is tradition I got a bit hasty with my support removal and trimmed them off by accident but they’re intact enough that I can glue them back on.
The paladin was a bit of an older version and not really special – the sword doesn’t print that well on FDM and should have been thickened or replaced with one of my stock swords.
For the monk, artificer and wizard I spent quite a bit of time sculpting fine details. I was riding the sculpting wave from the Clockwork Owlbear so I added lots of little feather strips other fine details. I’m really looking forward to getting these resin printed when the weather turns around here.
That’s all for now!
